Lincoln jacket

The clothing worn by Abraham Lincoln the night of his assassination at Ford’s Theatre was successfully cleaned by DLI (previously the National Institute of Dry cleaning) before it was put on display at Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC. Museum reps selected our experts to handle this work “because there would be less likelihood of physical and chemical damage.”

Bingo, Fleegle, and Drooper, of the group, “Banana Splits” 1970’s children’s icons, visited DLI for cleaning and restoration. Whitie Parker stated working on these items was ‘child’s play.’ |

If you were a 6-foot tall costumed character, where would you go for cleaning? Winnie The Pooh stopped by DLI during a coast- to-coast tour for cleaning. Our restoration experts know how to safely clean costumes without damaging the integrity and design. In this case, our expert opted to steam clean the loveable bear’s costume, and sent him on his merry way. |
